Are you haunted by how you are going to spend this Halloween? Alexandria and the surrounding communities are offering the following ghostly experiences for both adults and children to enjoy this Halloween.

A few events were held Friday or Saturday but many events will take place today, Sunday, including:

Community Halloween Party

A community Halloween party is set for Sunday, October 31 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the National Guard Armory in Alexandria. The event is sponsored by Eagles 3063 Aerie and Auxiliary with assistance from the VFW, Elks and auxiliaries.

The party is for all children through age 12 or grade 6. There will be games, prizes and treats. Bring a parent or guardian. Admission is free.

Trick-or-treats for preschool children

Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness invites families with preschool children to a Halloween fun event and silent auction.

It will be held at Woodland Elementary School gymnasium in Alexandria on Sunday, October 31 from 2 to 5 p.m. Only one family member needs to be younger than age 5. Cost is $5 per family.

Trick or Treating at Viking Plaza

The mall encourages parents to bring their children to Viking Plaza from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, October 31 for safe trick-or-treating fun.

Haunted theatre: Get your scream on!

The Alexandria Area Arts Association (AAAA) is holding its 5th annual haunted theatre. One final day remains - Sunday, October 31 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the AAAA Theatre, 618 Broadway in Alexandria.

Tickets are $5 at the door. The haunted theatre is not recommended for children younger than 10.

Lucky Star Halloween party

The Lucky Star 4-H Club is sponsoring a community Halloween party on Sunday, October 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Forada City Hall.

There will be games, a haunted maze, mini golf, balloon pop, door prizes, bike drawings and more. Admission is free.

Osakis Halloween party

The Osakis Women's Association (OWA) is throwing a Halloween party on Sunday, October 31 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Osakis Public School commons area. The party is open for children preschool through 6th grade. There will be games, treats, prizes and a light supper.

The OWA needs teenage and adult volunteers. To help, call Dar Pogose at (320) 859-2625.
