School Scoop: On site at AAHS

(Lowell Anderson/Echo Press)

With the Alexandria Area High School open house on August 5 nipping at our heels, the Aagard Commons area has been completely furnished, showing that the building is indeed ready to take on its learners.

Described as the heart of the school, the Commons is centrally located within the new school to serve as the crossover between academics, athletics and fine arts. Here, students and community members can gather and fully appreciate the masterpiece that has been in the making since the 2011 referendum passed.

Made possible by local taxpayers and through donations from area businesses, individuals and entities, one can be sure that AAHS will be shaping and molding the minds of our students as they harness the tools that will hold the key to their successful futures.

Look for the special printed tribute to Alexandria Area High School published by the Echo Press on Friday, August 1.
