Sauk Rapids man injured in hunting accident

A Sauk Rapids man was seriously injured in a hunting accident in Todd County Saturday.

Mike Dreher suffered a single gunshot wound to the right chest, according to the Todd County Sheriff's Office, which received the report of the incident a little after 5 p.m. He was transported to the Long Prairie Hospital and later flown to North Memorial Hospital in Minneapolis by North AirCare.

The incident happened about four miles north of Long Prairie in Hartford Township. The Long Prairie Fire Department and Long Prairie Ambulance also responded to the scene.

The sheriff's office is still investigating.
