Rosella Anderson, 91
Rosella "Rosie" Marie Anderson, 91, of Vancouver, Washington, passed away June 18, 2014, just days before her birthday.
She was born June 24, 1922 in Long Prairie to Celia and Leo Weber and attended Central High School in Alexandria.
In 1948, Rosie married Paul Anderson in Garfield. Together, they took care of Pauls parents on the farm until 1951 when they moved to Vancouver, Washington.
Rosie worked at the Jantzen Woolen Mills for 27 years.
She and Paul returned to Minnesota every year. They also traveled to Sweden, Austria and Italy.
Rosie was an active member of the Senior Center in Vancouver. She volunteered with the Doll Club by making dolls and clothing for the needy children and also enjoyed her flowers and gardening.
Rosie is survived by her sister, Dorothy Barnack in North Carolina; sister-in-law, Anne Kerns in Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Paul.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 26 at 12:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, Washington.
