Riders invited to take part in motorcycle ride
Area residents and riders from throughout the area are encouraged to support the seventh annual Motorcycle Ride for Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, May 25 at Apol's Harley-Davidson in Alexandria.
There will be a gathering and refreshments at 10 a.m., with registration starting at 11 a.m. and the riders departing at noon. In 2012, nearly 100 motorcyclists participated in the ride.
The ride will be a longer format. It will be around 120 miles with two stops. The first stop will be at Miltona City Park. There will be brats and chips served at the park.
There will be a short second stop in Osakis at Park Osagi, and the ride will conclude at the VFW Club in Alexandria around 4:45 p.m. Door prizes donated by local merchants will be drawn for registered riders.
Riders wishing to maximize their support of Habitat for Humanity are encouraged to download a pledge form at www.hfhdouglascounty.org and raise additional funds through the support of their families and friends.
Registration forms and waivers are also available at www.hfhdouglascounty.org.
