Richard Piepho, 74
Richard A. "Dick" Piepho, 74, died suddenly at home on April 6, 2014.
Dick was born May 5, 1939 to Leonard and Esther Piepho on a farm in Fergus Falls. Dick went to a country school and graduated from Fergus Falls High School in 1957. He graduated from Minneapolis School of Business and started a career that lasted 44 years with the same company.
He married his first wife (Harriet) and was blessed with two daughters (Cheryl and Valerie) and two sons (David and Mark).
He met Joanne who became his wife on January 1, 1996. Before moving to Miltona, they lived in Plymouth until his retirement in 2003.
Dick enjoyed "happy (gab) hours" with neighbors and friends. He loved golfing, fishing, reading, crossword puzzles, as well as classical music and theater. He and Joanne enjoyed warm weather with their winter friends and traveling (especially cruising).
But mostly, Dick enjoyed hearing about the happenings in the lives of his children and grandchildren and sharing time with them on holidays and visits.
Dick will be missed dearly by his family and many friends.
Dick is survived by his loving wife, Joanne; his children, Cheryl (Steve), Val (Morgan), David and Mark (Heather); stepchildren, Lisa (Todd) and Jennifer (Gary); grandchildren, Laura, Stacey, Martin, Tyler, Amber, Tannika, Emily and Jakob; and his great-grandchildren, Carter, Kayley and Jackson. Dick is also survived by his siblings, Bev (Warryn) and Karen, and David (Bonnie).
A private family memorial service and celebration of life is planned.
