The two golfers are teammates on the Augustana College Vikings Women's team, and both are past

Resorters champions. Kvidera is the defending champion, while Lelands holds titles from 2007 and 2009.

Kvidera def.

Chesley 2-1

The defending champion needed a late surge to fend off Mariah Chesley of Mankato yesterday in the upper bracket, winning 2-1.

Kvidera and Chesley traded wins through the first half, with the Ramsey golfer taking holes 1 and 6 on pars, with Chesley winning Nos. 3 and 8 on pars to round the turn all square.

Chesley grabbed the first lead on the back nine with a birdie victory on No. 11, but Kvidera came back with a par on the following hole to even things up. But the Mankato teenager once again took the lead as she won by par on 13.

Kvidera, however, put her foot on the gas over the next three holes, winning on birdie, par and bogey for a 2-up lead.

When the two golfers halved No. 17, it was all over, and Kvidera moved on to today's finals.

Leland def.

Roering, 6-4

When these two golfers last met in the Resorters Golf Tournament, it was Sarah Roering of Glenwood coming away with the win and eventually claiming the 2010 Women's title.

Leland made sure that wouldn't happen again.

The two golfers played stroke for stroke through the first two holes before Leland made the first move, taking No. 3 on a par.

After Roering evened the match with a par win on the following hole, Leland went on a tear, taking Nos. 5, 6, 8 and 9 on par, birdie, par, par for a 4-up lead at the turn.

On the back nine, Roering made a stab at her opponent, notching a birdie on No. 11 to cut the lead to three.

But Leland wasn't to be denied, and she used pars on the next three holes to go up six with four holes remaining, ending the match.
