Registration open for Prairie Fire’s ‘Snow White’
Registration is now open for the 28th annual Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre Day Camp. This year’s show is a revival of Prairie Fire’s very first production, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Camp will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8 at West Central Area Secondary School in Barrett.
Performances will be Friday and Saturday, August 8-9 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, August 10 at 1 p.m.
Seventy-five young people are needed to play the roles of Snow White, the prince, the seven dwarfs, the queen’s mirror and ravens, the forest creatures, the mysterious spellbinders and the townspeople.
Two professionals will take the roles of the Huntsman and the Evil Queen. Four professional directors from Prairie Fire will conduct the week-long camp.
Registration is open to anyone age 7-18. All registrants are guaranteed a part in the play, as well as participation in a theatrical workshop schedule.
Host families are needed for out of town campers, and a car pool list will be available for local campers.
Scholarships are also available, with a high priority given to elementary aged children from the West Central Area School District.
Prairie Fire’s annual camp provides an opportunity for young people from a wide range of backgrounds to come together and produce an original theatrical event.
