Register now open for PorkBridge
Registration is now open for PorkBridge, which is in its eighth year of providing information from a variety of university and industry experts without participants needing time off for travel.
PorkBridge begins Thursday, February 6. Participants should register by Wednesday, January 15 to ensure they receive their materials in time for the first session.
The cost is $125 for the series and covers supporting materials and one phone line per session.
“The PorkBridge program is a distance education series for people involved with grow-finish swine operations,” said University of Minnesota Swine Extension educator, Sarah Schieck.
Six sessions are offered every other month throughout the year. All sessions start at noon and last about 90 minutes, which includes time for questions.
Prior to each session, participants will receive a CD containing the session’s presentation, along with information to call a toll-free conference line to listen to and interact with the presenter.
A brochure containing program topics and registration information is available on the Swine Extension website at www.extension.umn.edu/swine.

PorkBridge is sponsored by a group of 11 universities, with Sarah Schieck and Lee Johnston of the University of Minnesota Extension serving as program coordinators. Iowa Pork Industry Center coordinates all registration and subscriber mailings.
