The Red Letter Band, a country gospel band from central Minnesota, will give a praise and worship concert on Friday, November 29 at 7 p.m. at The Phoenix Event Center in Alexandria. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. The cost is $7.
The band has released three full-length CDs and has two more currently in production. It offers vocal harmonies, steel and lead guitars, and a variety of original and classic country and gospel music.
Ultimately, the Red Letter Band’s mission is to deliver an honest, clear message about God and real life, as well as shine a light into the world and lead others to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Josh and Rachel Anderson provide guitar and vocals for the band. Josh co-founded the Red Letter Band as part of his youth ministry in Long Prairie. He writes songs, sings and plays guitar. His wife sings lead and backup. They have three children.
Kevin Mason, drums, grew up in Minnesota and spent several years in Colorado, where he started a family, before moving back in 2012. He has been in the band since 2006 and has recently written some songs.
Jeremiah Swor, bass guitar, is a native of Alexandria. With a wealth of experience in worship and rock music, he has been able to dabble in country music. He is a college biochemistry instructor, husband and father of two.
