Red Letter Band to entertain at Covenant Sunday, February 16
The Red Letter Band will give a concert on Sunday, February 16 at 4 p.m. at Alexandria Covenant Church, 4005 Dakota Street. A free will offering will be accepted.
The Christian country band from central Minnesota offers original music, with vocal harmonies, steel and lead guitars and a message about real-life relationships with God and each other.
This concert will feature music from two new albums.
Josh Anderson co-founded the Red Letter Band in Long Prairie in 2006. He is a songwriter, rhythm guitar player and baritone singer. Anderson’s wife, Rachel, sings as a soloist and backup harmony.
Based in St. Cloud, James Anderson, lead guitar, has more than a decade of experience playing country music in venues around the state. He also lent his producing talent to the most recent Red Letter Band recordings.
Randy Barnes, pedal steel guitar, lives in Alexandria and has played music most of his life. He currently plays steel for several bands. He recently retired from teaching school.
Kevin Mason, drums, grew up in Minnesota and spent several years in Colorado before moving back in 2012. He tinkers with guitar and songwriting but enjoys drumming more than anything else.
Jeremiah Swor of Alexandria, bass guitar, transitioned into country music from worship and rock music. He teaches college anatomy and chemistry.
