Radio theater shows set
Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
On Friday, June 22 at 7 p.m., the LAT will present its version of Sorry, Wrong Number directed by Ann Hermes. It stars Miriam Thornquist, Kevin Lee, Leila Preston, Keri Mohror, Gary Lund and Bruce Wegner, who will provide the sound effects.
Sorry, Wrong Number became one of radio's most famous plays. It aired on the radio eight times between 1943 and 1960 and has since been transitioned to film, television, novel and play.
ON THE AIR
On Sunday, June 24 on KXRA 1490 AM at 12:30 p.m., The Lost in the FOG players from Minneapolis will present "The Pygmy Robbery," the second show in the First National Bank series.
The first show aired on June 17. The saga, written by Minneapolis playwright Richard Liedholm, continues with the main characters facing poison darts and vats of cooking water.
The show was directed by Richard Liedholm and stars Paul Burow, Jana Worrall, Dan Tieman, Jack Strub, Allison Tieman, LeAnne Timan, Janeen Burow and Richard Liedholm. Janeen Burow produced the sound effects.
