Quilts Along the Trail to feature music by Uff Da Mountain Boys
The annual Quilts Along the Trail event will feature live entertainment this year.
Music will be provided by the Uff Da Mountain Boys during the event, which is set for this Saturday, September 12 in Osakis.
The quilt displays, vendor booths and activities will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Osakis right on the Central Lakes Trail.
A handmade quilt will be given away in a door prize drawing for those who register at the event. You need not be present to win the quilt.
Exhibitors can still register to show a quilt or quilted items in the non-juried show. For more information, call Carol at (320) 859-3800, Roxanne at (320) 859-4573 or Barb at (320) 859-3618.
Entries for exhibits can register up until two days before the opening of the show. There is no entry fee and no judging, just the enjoyment of sharing the art and beauty of quilts. Items shown do not have to be made by the exhibitor to be eligible for display.
The talents and skills of central Minnesota quilters are showcased and feature this year a special section on basket designs. There'll be the exhibits of the 2009 Challenge Quilters and others including items from antique and vintage to traditional and contemporary.
Other features of this event include a quilters flea market, a consignment sale, food booths, quilting and a bed-turning demonstration plus a "Make and Take" workshop that runs continuously.
In case of rain, visitors are invited to see the displays and challenge quilts at the Quilts Along the Trail Museum at 2nd and Main Streets in Osakis
