Public invited to perennial workshop
The University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners of Douglas County will offer a class on perennials, focusing on plants that do well in this area’s climate.
It will be held on Monday, June 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Douglas County Extension Meeting Room in the Douglas County Service Center Building at 720 Fillmore Street in Alexandria.
There will be a presentation on keeping beds healthy and happy, how to divide current plants and planning for three-season color. Using photos from local master gardener beds, the instructors will discuss plants that have proven to be both hardy and beautiful.
