Public invited to installation of Pastor Michael Peterson

Knute Nelson welcomes Pastor Michael Peterson as its second full-time chaplain to tend to the spiritual needs of those served by the organization.

The public is invited to attend the worship service where Peterson will be formally installed as hospice chaplain on Thursday, March 27 at 10 a.m. at Knute Nelson Care Center Chapel, 420 12th Avenue East, Alexandria. A reception will follow immediately after.

Peterson serves as hospice chaplain and works closely with all Knute Nelson Hospice patients and families. Pastor Patricia Baglien also serves as chaplain at Knute Nelson and works with residents and families served at the Care Center, Nelson Gables, and Grand Arbor communities.

“Chaplaincy services are an essential part of fulfilling the spiritual needs of our hospice patients and their families as they reach the end of life,” said Mark Anderson, president/CEO of Knute Nelson. “We are blessed to have both Pastor Michael and Pastor Patricia serve our patients, residents and their families to help fulfill their spiritual care needs.

“As a Christian-based nonprofit, we strive to make a positive impact in the lives of those we serve and our chaplains are instrumental in making this happen.”
