Public invited to groundbreaking event for newest Habitat home

The public is invited to attend a groundbreaking ceremony to jumpstart the newest Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity home for Nathan Fiala and Holly Schroeder and their five children.

The ceremony will be held on Monday, May 5 at 4:30 p.m. at 1807 Jasmine Drive, Alexandria.

This home will be the 11th Thrivent Builds home in Douglas County, bringing Thrivent’s local investment in affordable housing to more than $1 million.

After many moves and growing challenges, Fiala and Schroeder connected with Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County and began their journey toward homeownership.

They have been busy preparing for the build and look forward to providing a home in which their family can grow.

For more information on this event or how to get involved, contact Habitat for Humanity at (320) 762-4255 or visit www.hfhdouglascounty.org.
