Public invited to attend an aviation seminar
The Alexandria Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 702 will sponsor an aviation seminar on Thursday, September 12 at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to the public.
The event will be held at the Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) Management Center on the north side of the college.
Parking will be available in the lot between ATCC and Jefferson High School.
Alan Hoffert, Federal Aviation Administration Safety Team (FAAST) program manager, will give an overview of the FAAST program and teach pilots how to establish their own web-based pilot proficiency program.
John Stock, M.D., aviation medical examiner, will provide a discussion of pilot longevity issues. He will discuss items pilots can do to minimize the possibility of losing their pilot medical certification.
Stock will also discuss recent changes the Federal Aviation Administration has made in the certification process.
