UPDATE 1:30 p.m: Two dead in crash on I-94 near Osakis

Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity is October 15

To the editor:

Ever since the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Roe v. Wade on January 22, 1973, over 50 million unborn babies in the U.S. have lost their lives due to the “choice” of abortion. That is over 4,000 children every day. The vast majority of these children were and are killed simply because their existence is inconvenient.

On Tuesday, October 15, K-12 and college students across the country and around the world will be participating in the 10th annual Pro-Life Day of Silent Solidarity. On this day, participating students are encouraged to wear red duct tape over their mouths (if allowed), red arm bands, and/or pro-life shirts, and to remain silent throughout the day to raise awareness of the 50 million voices that have been silenced since 1973.

I hope and pray students here in Alexandria will take a stand for the unborn. Students can register their schools and find more information about the event at www.silentday.org.
