Precision Auto helps Douglas County Car Care Program

Mike Peterson and Kevin Johnson, owners of Precision Auto on 8th and Nokomis in Alexandria, are partnering with Douglas County Car Care Program (DCCCP).

Precision Auto has completed three alignments for DCCCP so far and has offered both free and reduced price alignments for the program.

One-a-month repair shops are asked to repair no more than one vehicle a month, but more likely two or three cars a year for DCCP, and not charge for the labor. The parts are paid for by DCCCP at a greatly reduced price.

DCCCP is a faith-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit that receives donated cars, repairs them and then gives them to needy residents of Douglas County.

If someone already owns a vehicle but can’t afford to fix it, DCCCP can spend up to $300 in vehicle repairs, using primarily volunteers on the first and third Saturdays of the month.

These repairs are completed at Koep’s Korner or Juettner Motors.
