Registrations are still open. Camp will be Monday, August 6 through Thursday, August 9 from noon to 5 p.m., with performances Friday, August 10 through Sunday, August 12. Schedules on performance days will vary.

Registration is open to anyone aged 7-18 on a first-come, first-served basis. All campers are guaranteed a part in the play and participation in a theatrical workshop. All rehearsals and performances will be at West Central Area Secondary School in Barrett. Car pool lists and host families for out of town campers will be available.

A number of Prairie Fire's scholarships are available and open to anyone. New this year is the Josh Cunningham Scholarship made possible through a donation by the former camper's family. Five scholarships are available to West Central Area students, which will pay for half the registration fee.

Since their first camp in 1987, Prairie Fire has brought hundreds of young people together from the Midwest to collaborate on theatrical projects. The camp offers an opportunity for kids to learn about theater while building friendships.

The camp is conducted by a team of four professional actor/directors from Prairie Fire's staff. This year's crew includes veterans Chris Rosser from Richmond, Virginia and Jeremy Day from Spenser, Wisconsin, who took on the roles of the giant and the ringmaster in Jack and the Beanstalk last year.
