Postcards TV program features old-time, Big Band music
Pioneer Public Television will premiere the next episode of Postcards on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. with "Music and Dance."
This episode explores the love for old-time music and some long-running musical groups in the region. Highlights include some foot-stompin' fun at Larry Olson's annual Music Fest in Lake Benton, Minnesota, the local male vocal group the Chord-Ayres, and fellow Minnesota Music Hall of Fame inductee Roger Kodet and his songs from the Big Band era.
This new episode of Postcards airs on Sunday, January 20 at 7 p.m. with rebroadcasts on Monday at 1:30 p.m. and Thursday at 7 p.m. on Pioneer.
The 20 local productions of Postcards at Pioneer Public Television capture the stories about Minnesota art, history and cultural heritage, with funding provided by the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
