Place your own classified ad
Looking for a quick, convenient way to sell that fish house, computer or variety of other items?
The Echo Press has made it easier for its customers to place a classified ad. It now offers customers an option to place and pay for a classified ad online at its Web site, www.echopress.com.
"We can now sell classified ads 24/7," said Sharon Sprouls, Echo Press Internet manager. "This is a great option for all our customers, especially those who maybe can't make it into our office during business hours."
Classified ads allow private individuals, not simply companies or corporate entities, to solicit sales for products and services.
Ads placed online can appear in the Echo Press, Osakis Review, Lakeland Shopping Guide and online at www.echopress.com depending on the package chosen by the customer.
Online classified ads have become a real trend for those wishing to sell merchandise, noted Sprouls, adding that the newspaper wants to make it as easy as possible for its customers to do just that.
Customers can go to www.echopress.com, click on the "classifieds" icon on the left-hand side of the page and then click on "Place ad" on the right-hand side of the page.
From there, customers can design their ad using text and images. Before it is uploaded to the site or in the paper, customers will also be able to proof the ad to make sure it is exactly how they want it.
Once it comes into the Echo Press office, Sprouls said, it is verified and accepted, and then sent to an in-house layout system.
From there it is uploaded online and then put in the newspaper in the classified section.
