Pedestrian hurt on Alexandria's Broadway

An 86-year-old Alexandria man was injured in a pedestrian accident in Alexandria Thursday.

Donald Mike was walking through the crosswalk at the intersection of Broadway and 5th Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle driven by Janna Floerke of Sauk Centre, according to the Alexandria Police Department. It was snowing and slippery at the time of the crash.

Mike was taken by North Ambulance to the Douglas County Hospital where he was treated for multiple injuries and transferred to the St. Cloud Hospital. As of 1 p.m. Friday, he remained hospitalized and was listed in good condition.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
