Paul Brendmoen, 54
Paul Kerry Brendmoen, 54, Montevideo, formerly of Alexandria, died peacefully February 27, 2009 at his brother's home in Montevideo, where he resided due to failing health.
Paul was born November 12, 1954 in Valley City, North Dakota, to Raymond L. and Shirley A. (Sandness) Brendmoen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith in Valley City and graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1973. He worked for awhile and then attended and graduated from Granite Falls Vo-Tech in 1980 as a machinist.
Paul moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he was employed as a machinist and tool and die manufacturer. He moved back to Minnesota in 1990 and for the last 20 years he lived in Alexandria and was employed by Douglas Machine Company in Alexandria.
Paul liked to fish, hunt, read books, go camping and loved to watch the Vikings - win or lose. He was a loving son, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Willis Johnson of Willmar; his brothers, Steven (Kelly) Brendmoen of Montevideo and Mark Brendmoen of Scottsdale, AZ; two nieces, Haley Brendmoen of Minneapolis and Taylor Brendmoen of Montevideo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Alan Brendmoen in October of 2007.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Thursday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Private interment will take place later this spring.
Friends are invited to call one hour prior to services at the church and may visit with the family during the luncheon, which will be served in the church hall immediately following the services.
