The Panthers beat Upsala 56-52 on Monday night after taking care of Sebeka 62-48 last Thursday. Senior guard Micaela Noga didn’t play against Upsala as players stepped up in her absence. Six different players scored at least six points with Anna Guenther leading the way with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Sarah Bunde finished with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists. Renee Warren had nine points, Kathryn Burquest had seven and Sierra Nori and Megan Dreger each had six.

Noga played against Sebeka and finished with a game-high 27 points in the win. Guenther added 11 points and Bunde chipped in nine.

The Panthers wrapped up the regular season with a 16-7 record and were seeded fourth in the 5A North tournament. They were scheduled to welcome in fifth-seeded Bertha-Hewitt last night, Thursday, with the winner of that game playing ninth-seeded Sebeka or top-seeded Browerville in Wadena on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Section 5 is new this year for Parkers Prairie after the Panthers played in the Section 6A South last winter. They made it all the way to the section title game before falling 51-47 to Ada-Borup.
