Parkers Prairie man injured in rollover
A 28-year-old Parkers Prairie man was injured in a rollover on Thursday, July 7.
The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the report of crash at 9:18 p.m. on Highway 235, about five miles west of Parkers Prairie.
Dustin Stephan was driving a 2001 Ford Ranger west on Highway 235 when it went off a curve into the ditch and struck and embankment and rolled over several times before coming to a rest on the vehicle's rooftop. Stephan, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, needed to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transported by a helicopter to a hospital in St. Cloud. He was no longer at the hospital on Monday morning when the newspaper called to find out his condition.
The State Patrol took a blood test to determine Stephan's blood alcohol level.
While authorities were investigating the crash, a vehicle stopped at the scene to check on Stephan. That vehicle was being driven by Rachael Rothenberger, 21, with a last known address of West Fargo, North Dakota. Rothenberger was cited for not having a driver's license. The State Patrol was assisted by the Parkers Prairie Police Department and the Parkers Prairie Fire Department.
