Alexandria’s Viking Plaza was a busy place to be Saturday as shoppers scurried for Christmas gifts.

Volunteers with Titus2 Homes, a Christ-centered home to help women in need, were busy wrapping presents and received donations for their expertise.

The Salvation Army bell ringers collected donations for its programs. All donations on Friday and Saturday were matched throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, thanks to a group of anonymous donors who pooled $2 million worth of matching funds.

There were also several gift exhibitors set up inside the mall. A book signing also took place featuring local K-9 rescue dog handler, Sharolyn Sievert.
