Osakis wrestlers keep cruising

The Osakis wrestling team won its seventh straight match by running past Ottertail Central 59-19 last Friday night.

The Silverstreaks got off to a strong start against OTC behind three straight wins from Devyn Johnson (12-4, 106 pounds), Darrin Stoetzel (fall, 5:00, 113 pounds) and Trenton Coyer (fall, 1:51, 113 pounds). Ottertail Central got the next two matches, but Osakis never let their opponents gain much momentum the rest of the way.

Colton Waldvogel won 8-0 at 138 pounds. Garret Sunder followed with a pin in 1:59 at 145 and Ryan Engfer won 3-2 at 152. Nils Hagen dominated his opponent at 182 with a tech fall (18-2). Tyler Spanswick (195, 1:06), Mitchell Sunder (220, 0:16) and Peter Hagen (285, 0:49) all finished things off with quick pins to secure a dominant night for the Silverstreaks.
