Osakis rolls to 60-29 victory over Brandon-Evansville

The Osakis girls' basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back in a 60-29 victory over Brandon-Evansville in Evansville on Tuesday.

Annalise Savageau led the Osakis scoring with 20 points, and Mackenzie Staloch finished with 10. Katie Kokett scored nine points to lead the Chargers.

Head coach Dick Simpson said Osakis was probably the toughest team the Chargers have played all season.

"We probably could have played better, but Osakis is really good," Simpson said. "For a while we just had a hard time scoring. They really played tough defense and we just got frustrated trying to run our offense."

The loss dropped Brandon-Evansville to 13-11 this season while Osakis improved to 20-2.
