The Osakis boys’ basketball team saw a second-half lead slip away against Parkers Prairie in a 52-48 game last week.

“We missed four uncontested layups, had three key turnovers at the end of regulation and missed free throws down the stretch,” Osakis head coach Matt Hoelscher said. “We had a great look to win it in regulation but couldn’t convert. We shot ourselves in the foot and paid the price with a loss.”

It was back and forth the entire night against the Panthers. Osakis’ defense kept it in the game on a night when the Silverstreaks shot 38 percent (18-of-47) from the field. The 22 turnovers were also too much to overcome in the end.

Drew Fearing had 15 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals in a losing effort. Zach Weir added 10 points and Lane Berberich finished with 12. Only five players scored in all for the Silverstreaks.
