Osakis baseball dominates USA

The Osakis baseball team moved to 5-0 on the season with an easy 18-0 win over USA on Tuesday night.

Jordan Frederick had a big night with the win on the mound and a four-RBI day at the plate. Frederick had a double and a three-run home run in the fifth inning. He also went all five innings, allowing just one hit and one walk.

Lane Berberich added two RBIs, two runs scored and a hit and a walk. Drew Fearing had one hit and a walk to go along with three runs scored, while Jarrett Weispfennig and Jeff Piekarski each had two hits. Weispfennig finished with three runs and four RBIs, while Piekarski drove in two.

“This was the most complete game we played to this point,” head coach Shad Schmidt said. “I felt the guys made great adjustments in their at bats. We were patient and took advantage of their mistakes.”
