One month left to win free groceries for a year
With less than a month left to enter, thousands of Minnesota consumers have learned that a chance to win free groceries for a year is just a mouse click away. In fact, since the Minnesota "Farmers Feed US" promotion at www.FarmersFeedUS.org launched on August 9, Minnesota consumers have registered more than 55,000 times for a chance to win.
Each day through November 6, Minnesota residents can register at www.FarmersFeedUS.org for a chance to win one of two grand prizes of free groceries for a year*, courtesy of Minnesota's farmers. Upon visiting the site, consumers can choose to register with each of nine Minnesota farmers daily, and take video tours of their farms. Each video explains how they produce safe, nutritious and affordable food for Minnesota consumers.
"We're really pleased with the interest in the sweepstakes," said Shannon Kuball, a dairy farmer from Waterville, Minnesota, who is a featured farmer on the website. "And as Minnesota farmers, we're proud to showcase our farms, sharing how we raise the food that Minnesota consumers eat, while also introducing them to our families."
The agricultural commodity organizations sponsoring Minnesota Farmers Feed US selected the farmers featured on the website, with the goal of showcasing farmers who are representative of the different food groups and different farming regions in Minnesota.
The nine featured farmers are:

Bill Wuertz, chicken farmer, Paynesville
And as the official retail partner of the sweepstakes, Minnesota-based Supervalu has helped connect their customers with the farmers of the state by promoting the chance to win through in-store materials that feature each of the nine Minnesota farmers. "Our customers have certainly been excited at the chance to win free groceries for a year, but they're also excited to meet the people producing their food," said Wayne Eldridge, director meat and seafood, Supervalu northern region.
Over the course of the 90-day sweepstakes, consumers throughout the state will also see and hear from these farmers as they are featured in television advertising and on Facebook and Twitter.
Participating Minnesota agriculture groups include the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Pork Board, Midwest Dairy Association, Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council, Minnesota Farm Bureau, Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council, Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council, Broiler and Egg Association of Minnesota, Minnesota Beef Council, and Gold n' Plump.
