Olivia Agnes Sturm, age 95, passed away October 3, 2013 at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Olivia was born April 2, 1918 in Roslyn, South Dakota to Oscar and Alice (Sorenson) Berget.
She married Orville Henry Sturm on August 22, 1938 in Watertown, South Dakota. Besides being a fine homemaker, she had worked as a school cook for Hancock schools. Orville and Olive lived in Andover, Hancock and Alexandria before retiring in Hastings.
Olive loved to fish, camp, play cards with her grandkids, and most of all, enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Olive will be remembered by her kind and generous spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville; son, Terry; grandsons, Cory and Chad Greiner; and seven brothers and sisters.
Olivia is survived by four children, Faye (Gordy) Greiner, Dean (Gladys) Sturm, Joy (Lloyd) Greiner, Sandy (Dick) Greiner; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
The memorial service, officiated by Gordon Gathright, will be held Wednesday, October 9 at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Alexandria.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.
