Offense erupts as Anchors beat Willmar

The Alexandria Blue Anchors broke out offensively on Friday night with 14 hits in a 10-4 win over Willmar.
The top of the lineup was on its game for Alexandria as Jordan Lee went 4-for-4 with four runs and two RBIs from the top spot in the order. Second-place hitter Craig Nennig added three hits, two runs and an RBI and Kris Goodman went 2-for-5 with an RBI from the third spot. Roman Collins also had a big game with three hits, a walk, a run scored and an RBI.
The Anchors led 3-0 through three innings before scoring four in the fifth to help put things away. Three more in the eighth then allowed Alexandria to coast to its third win of the season (3-8).
Onas Farfan went six solid innings with only one earned runs allowed, two runs total. He scattered six hits and a walk, while fanning four. It was the start of a good weekend for Farfan, who was selected in the 21st round of the Major League Baseball draft on Saturday by the Minnesota Twins.
These two teams will play again tonight, Saturday, at Knute Nelson Ballpark with a 7:05 first pitch.
