ROSE is a new non-profit organization dedicated to helping parents and families deal with early pregnancy loss, stillbirth or the loss of infant or young child.

Schaffran, founder of ROSE, completed an advocate training program to learn how to help parents from the time they learn their child has died, following delivery and preparing for the funeral. She will help the parents and family create precious keepsakes and memories of their child to cherish.

After losing her infant son at 23 weeks into her pregnancy, Schaffran and her husband, Jamie, received support from non-profit organization Infants Remembered In Silence (IRIS).

"IRIS was there for us when we were at a complete loss as to how or what to do," Schaffran said. "I want to give back and make sure other parents in our area have the opportunity to experience the support and help we received."

ROSE is funded completely by donations. A donation box as well as "In Memory Of" and "In Honor Of" cards will be available during the open house. Examples of clothing sets and keepsakes that ROSE has to offer, provided through donations, will also be on display at the open house.
