Pastor Keith Zeh, director of evangelical mission for the Northwest Minnesota Synod ELCA, was the guest preacher.

Council members and officers were installed, and numerous members of the three churches took part in the service.

The new parish is the result of more than a year of prayer and conversation among several area congregations. Pastor Kathryn Rothman serves the new parish.

Nora and First Lutheran meet for worship and Sunday School on Sunday mornings, but Lincoln is doing something new.

“We realize there are people who can’t make it to Sunday morning worship because of work or health reasons, so Lincoln decided to move their worship time to Saturdays at 5 p.m.,” said Rothman.

Orlo Thompson is the guest musician the fourth Saturday of each month, bringing his blend of gospel and western music to the worship service.

All three churches are handicapped accessible.
