Networking, learning and more to take place at 'Night at the Museum'
The Runestone Museum in downtown Alexandria is once again hosting its annual "Night at the Museum."
This year's event has been scheduled for Friday, January 29 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
A Night at the Museum will feature Scott Wolter, geologist and author of The Hooked X.
Wolter is planning to engage in casual conversation about his latest book, The Hooked X and also, the History Channel's documentary, The Holy Grail in America, which talks about the Kensington Runestone.
Runestone Museum manager Julie Blank noted that the museum's gift shop will be open for the evening and that it will be pre-selling the DVD of The Holy Grail in America.
Blank also said that the Night at the Museum fundraising event has been deemed as a "fun night of networking, hors d'oeuvres and beverages."
Tickets are $25 per person with all proceeds going to technology needs at the Runestone Museum.
Blank added that event-goers who want to purchase a membership to the museum after the event can present their ticket and receive $25 toward a 2010 Sustaining Membership, which is $100.
Food and beverages for the evening are provided by the event sponsors, Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center, Rudy's Redeye Grill, Bella's on Broadway, Beverage Wholesalers and Garden Center.
For more information about the event, call the Runestone Museum at (320) 763-3160 or stop by the museum at 206 Broadway in downtown Alexandria.
