The Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum (MLMM) will feature Kelley Hunt at "Music in the Gardens" on Thursday, August 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Maritime Gardens, Alexandria.
Settle in the garden surrounds for a blues performance by Roots R&B/Americana singer Kelley Hunt. Described as "the freshest slant on classic R&B you're likely to hear these days," Kansas City-born Hunt is a singer, pianist and songwriter. She has a large reservoir of blues and R&B muscles that range from ballads to full-tilt boogies.
Uncle Willie's Gutbucket Blues will open the evening. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. In the event of rain, the concert will be held at RCC West Rink.
Tickets are $15 in advance at MLMM or $20 at the door. Bring a chair.
This event is being underwritten by Bursch Travel, Trumm Drug and KXRA Radio.
