Music in the Gardens
A thank you event acknowledging all who have contributed to the Gardens Project will occur on Friday, June 20 in the Gardens at Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum in Alexandria.
The Pistol Whippin Party Penguins will perform at the event. The gates open at 6:30 p.m., and the music will start at 7:30 p.m. on the Garden’s outdoor stage.
The Pistol Whippin Party Penguins come from Mill City. The group consists of five men who will make use of two guitars, a mandolin, fiddles, an upright bass, a banjo and four-part vocal harmony.
The group will play both original music and cover songs, and their music style is a combination of folk, rock, blues and bluegrass.
They will record their third album this winter.
Bring a chair and enjoy the concert. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The concert is free and underwritten by local businesses.
The Rotarians will be setting up, serving the food and covering all the other jobs for this event. This is a Rotarian public service activity.
