Update: Police arrest robbery suspect

Movie event celebrates Women's History Month

To celebrate Women's History Month in March, the Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) will host a showing and discussion of Iron Jawed Angels, a 2004 American drama that was nominated for five Emmy's.

The event is free and open to the public. It will take place on Thursday, March 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at ATCC, Room 205.

Iron Jawed Angels focuses on the American woman's suffrage movement during the 1910s. The film follows political activists Alice Paul and Lucy Burns as they use peaceful and effective tactics to revolutionize their movement to grant women the right to vote.

Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is requested but not required.
