More police station bids approved

Five more bids for the new Alexandria police station totaling more than $380,000 were approved Monday.

The Alexandria City Council awarded the following (all the bids were the lowest submitted in their category):


•$134,000 for metal wall panels submitted by Progressive Building Systems, Ltd.

•$80,750 for architectural woodwork submitted by Northern Woodwork.

•$65,296 for sectional steel overhead doors submitted by Viking Garage Door.

Al Edenloff is the news and opinion page editor for the Echo Press. He was born in Alexandria and lived most of his childhood in Parkers Prairie.
