Minnewaska goes 2-2 in home tourney

The Minnewaska volleyball team finished 2-2 in their home tournament on Saturday in Glenwood.

The Lakers started the day with 2-0 wins against Hancock and Ortonville, but they lost their two final matches to New London-Spicer and Osakis.

Alison Hoeper led the Lakers in kills on Saturday with 20. Emma Middendorf also had 18 kills for Minnewaska in four matches.

Ariel Ostrander led the Lakers in digs on Saturday with 43, and Hoeper also picked up 33. Taylor Amundson had 64 assists in four matches and also contributed a team-high six aces.

The Lakers are now 5-8 this season.
