Minnesota FFA Foundation accepting grain donations
In addition to the local Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter's corn drive, another option to give to FFA during this harvest season is to donate to the Minnesota FFA Foundation through a donation of grain.
"We are pleased to give farmers another way to donate in support of agricultural education and the FFA," said Val Aarsvold, executive director. "The need for support of agricultural education programs continues to grow with increasingly tight school budgets."
Members of the Minnesota FFA Foundation board of trustees have designated funds received through grain donation to the Legacy Club, which, established in 2012, provides support to local chapters through a grant program.
Interested farmers should notify their grain elevator that they wish the grain to be donated to the Minnesota FFA Foundation.
