Minnesota Farmers Union hires Glen Schmidt as new education director
Minnesota Farmers Union (MFU) recently hired Glen Schmidt as its new education director.
"Having been involved with the MFU education program for over ten years, Glen will bring a new era of education, cooperation and youth activity at Farmers Union," said Doug Peterson, MFU President. "Glen's wealth of knowledge and experience with our education program will match his hard work and dedication, and will be an asset to Minnesota Farmers Union."
"It is an honor to be MFU's new Education Director because camp meant so much to me, it will be great to give back. I look forward to working with everyone and to help the MFU education program expand and thrive," said Schmidt.
Schmidt has been a Public Affairs Research Assistant with MFU for the last three years. Before that he was a counselor at the MFU Leadership Camp for three years, and also attended camp for seven years. He is a graduate of Bemidji State University, and is originally from Little Falls. He'll be taking the place of retiring Education Director Jim Tunheim.
