Minnesota Farmers Feed grocery sweepstakes is currently under way
From now through October 13, residents of Minnesota can enter the Minnesota Farmers Feed U.S. sweepstakes for their change to win a $5,000 grand prize or one of two $1,000 prizes in free groceries from Minnesota's farmers.
Enter to win by visiting the Minnesota Farmers Feed U.S. website www.farmersfeedus.org/mn.
Their site also features Minnesota farmers and their families, showing how they produce safe, nutritious and affordable food.
Some of these featured farmers will also be available at the Minnesota Department of Agriculture booth at the Minnesota State Fair August 25 through September 5 to answer questions.
At the booth, fairgoers can also register for the sweepstakes.
Minnesota Farmers Feed U.S. coordinator, Lisa Reeck, says that the sweepstakes has been a popular consumer education campaign in Minnesota as well as eight other states.
"Our 17 featured Minnesota farmers are among more than 60 farmers nationwide participating in the campaign and presenting many different production methods and farm sizes," said Reeck. "As consumers take a greater interest in how their food is grown, this campaign offers an important opportunity for farmers to answer their questions."
Several Minnesota agriculture groups including the Broiler and Egg Association of Minnesota, Midwest Dairy Association, Minnesota Beef Council, Minnesota Corn Research and Promotion Council, Minnesota Department of Agriculture, Minnesota Farm Bureau, Minnesota Pork Board, Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council, Minnesota Turkey Research and Promotion Council and GNP company sponsor Minnesota Farmers Feed U.S.
