Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union to hold Foundation Friday fundraiser
Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union (MMFCU) is joining credit unions from around the state to host a Foundation Friday fundraising event on Fridays, October 11 and October 25. The event will support financial education, college scholarships and the Gillette Children’s Hospital.
Coordinated through the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation and its committees, the Family Involvement Council and Credit Unions for Kids, this fundraiser will provide an opportunity to support important causes and local communities.
Funds raised by credit unions across the state will be pooled and divided evenly among the following organizations, which are committed to their individual missions.
The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is an organization dedicated to providing the resources for credit unions and communities to prosper and thrive. Foundation grants are focused on financial education, professional development and disaster relief efforts that aid the credit union movement in Minnesota and beyond.
The Minnesota Family Involvement Council (FIC) works to enhance the future of the credit union movement by providing financial awareness solutions. The FIC conducts an annual scholarship program, awarding funds to Minnesota credit union members to help advance their college education. This endeavor is made possible through its annual Silent Auction.
Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids is a collaboration of credit unions, chapters, leagues and business partners engaged in fundraising activities to benefit Children’s Miracle Network-affiliate hospitals. All money raised through this program supports Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare, which helps kids with disabilities and chronic conditions.
