Member of popular central Minnesota band 'Nasty Habit' dies in car crash on Sunday
A member of a popular variety band that played in the Alexandria area was killed in a two-vehicle crash Sunday.
Dale A. Larson, 46, of Rothsay was one of two drivers who died in the accident that happened shortly before 9:30 a.m. on Highway 88, about three miles southeast of Rothsay, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office.
Larson was a vocalist in the band, Nasty Habit.
The other driver killed was Debra L. Jorgenson, 48, of Rothsay. They were the only occupants in their vehicles. Neither was wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.
The band cancelled its "80's Prom Night" performance that was scheduled for March 10 at The Barn in Alexandria.
On its website, the band said that those who purchased tickets through the website will be issued refund checks to the address they provided in the upcoming week.
