Meeting to raise autism awareness
In honor of Autism Awareness Month, The Windmill Project, in partnership with Lakeland Mental Health Center, invites the public to a workshop to unite providers, parents and the community to support people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Parents and family members impacted by ASD are especially invited to participate in this community meeting, offering insight into the need for additional support and resources within the community.
The “Let’s Put the Pieces Together” autism awareness community meeting will be held Monday, April 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Glenwood State Bank Community Room, 2221 South Broadway, Alexandria. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Plan to arrive by 5:45 p.m.
Local service providers will give short presentations on their organizations/businesses and services provided.
The evening will end with the chance to talk with service providers, ask questions and gather additional information.
