Meeting in Hoffman to address impact of Good Sam closing

What kind of impact will the pending closing of the Good Samaritan skilled care facility have in Hoffman?

The community is invited to find out.

A public meeting will take place on Thursday, November 21 at the Hoffman Comunity Center at 7 p.m.

Experts with the University of Minnesota will present information on the economic impact of the closing.

Also, the community is doing a survey to find out the need and desire to have an assisted living facility in Hoffman.

Surveys are available at Muriel Krusemark’s economic development authority office in Hoffman.

“The community has suffered a huge loss and we are looking for a positive replacement,” Krusemark noted. “We need your help.”

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society announced its plan to close the Hoffman facility on or around December 6.
