Master gardeners to host plant sale
The University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardeners of Douglas County will host its annual spring plant sale on Saturday, May 17 at 9:15 a.m. at Viking Plaza in Alexandria.
People are also invited to attend a demonstration on how to create a succulent garden at 9 a.m. that day.
Attendees can choose from an assortment of succulents, astilbe, delphinium, heuchera, penstemon and perennials including peonies, lilies and day lilies.
There will also be spruce trees, houseplants, herbs (including specialty basils), heirloom and hybrid tomatoes, kale, eggplant and more.
Plants are grown by master gardeners, zoned for this area.

Douglas County Master Gardeners is a non-profit organization supporting University of Minnesota Extension. Proceeds from this event are used to support Douglas County Master Gardeners projects in the community.
